Peplink Connectivity Rapidly Deployed for Quick Service Restaurant Salad and Go

Salad and Go is one of many businesses where reliable connectivity is vital. As a drive-through restaurant chain, critical operations such as their order process, POS systems, and communications heavily rely on stable network access, otherwise they can face financial losses. When faced with inconsistent broadband connectivity in new locations, Peplink partner West Networks ensures a quick fix for this quick service restaurant.

Salad and Go faced challenges with reliable broadband due to construction delays and high costs, prompting them to seek a dual-cellular 5G internet solution. Peplink’s partner, West Networks, implemented this solution in under 48 hours, reducing installation time from 4-6 months to hours. The new Peplink router offers unlimited fixed-cost bandwidth, enhancing reliability and eliminating support tickets. West Networks received high praise for their design, implementation, and support.

Challenge

Currently with 140 locations, Salad and Go has plans to establish up to 100 new locations, with each new location requiring their own network infrastructure. However, at these sites, they were unable to secure reliable broadband internet. Their option to use traditional broadband solutions led to months of construction delays, resulting in both additional costs and downtime for online operations. With a goal to keep their operations online 100%, Salad and Go needed a new network infrastructure and was looking to opt out of broadband internet.

Solution

Within an hour of discovering Peplink online, Salad and Go was connected to Peplink partner West Networks for a more efficient network solution. They immediately installed a MAX BR2 Pro equipped with 5G SIMs for dual 5G connectivity. This was then connected to an SD Switch 24-Port Rugged and two Mobility 42G antennas for enhanced signal reception and stable connections. The installation was completed within 48 hours of initial conversations between Salad and Go and West Networks.

Result

What was supposed to take months to construct, only took a few hours with the new Peplink solution implemented by West Networks. The new infrastructure was dependent on 5G connectivity, eliminating expensive broadband connections and the additional construction costs. This led to significant savings of up to $20 000 per location.

Switching to 5G connectivity gave Salad and Go unlimited bandwidth at fixed costs per month. On top of the cost savings, they no longer needed to spend copious time working through contracts and meetings to have the broadband connections installed.

Salad and Go has yet to experience putting in a Peplink support ticket as their operations have been running smoothly with this dual-5G network infrastructure. Using a Peplink solution, this quick service restaurant is able to maintain 100% uptime and quick connectivity for their operations.

“Our store operators love it because we haven’t had a Peplink support ticket for over the year we’ve been using it. It’s a full enterprise product and I’d recommend it. I wish I had it years ago. We canceled all future broadband contracts and we’ve never installed another line since then.”
